Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is the highest grossing art form on Broadway.

This art form combines a multitude of talents that require the players to be well versed in a variet of performance arts.  Each year at Encore, there is at least one major name musical created for the high school students and usually one for the junior high as well.  On top of the mainstream musical, there is usually one in house created musical that also takes palce over the course of the year.  Sometimes, Encore will even combine both campuses to make an advanced touring cast for a production.

In order to appropriately prepare for a world in musical theatre, actors are encouraged to take classes in musical theatre, dance, acting, and vocal music.  The better an actor can sing and dance, the more versatile the actor becomes for a career after high school.
